ProActive-Hips ProSecurity v1.3.0 | 2.79 MBWindows 2000 Sp4, Windows XP Sp1 Sp2, Windows 2003 and 2003 Sp1 SP2, Windows Vista x86(Beta).ProSecurity?„? is a type of security software package known as Host Intrusion Prevention System(HIPS). It protects your system from attacking to processes, registry and files. The function of a HIPS, is to ensure you have high quality security on your system(s) at all times. Most average computer users think that security is a firewall and antivirus, but this kind of thinking is what contributes to a high probability of security and/or stability issues later down the line.
ProSecurity is kernel-level security protection software based on behavior detection. By intercepting and protecting system behaviors such as applicatoin loading, cross-process operations, registry operations, file operations, network access, direct physical memory access, installation of Windows hooks or system services/drivers, it can prevent malware (malicious programs) from damaging your system, increasing their privilege and stealing your data, so as to realize system protection and malware detection.
Without adequate protection, while surfing or installing software, you are a sitting duck for all types of malware that can get into your system. In a lot of cases it can be your web browser that is your undoing. Applications from malicious web sites can automatically download and start without any asking permission from you at all!
All protection jobs of ProSecurity are implemented independently by kernel modules which run without the help from application-level programs, so the program works smoothly and occupies very little system resources.
